Manage calls: Samsung Galaxy Avant

Learn how to block calls, set or cancel call forwarding, and manage caller ID and the call log on the Samsung Galaxy Avant.

 

 

 

Block calls

 

From settings

To block all incoming calls, go to Settings > Personalization > Block all calls.

 

From a number

To block an incoming call that is not on the reject list:

 

  1. Touch the red Phone icon and drag it to the left.
  2. To block with a message, touch Reject call with message and drag up.

 

To block incoming calls from a number:

 

  1. From any home screen, tap Phone.
  2. Select the Keypad or Logs tab.
  3. Tap Menu > Settings.
  4. Tap Call.
  5. Tap Call rejection.
  6. Tap Auto reject list.
  7. Tap Create.
  8. Tap the Contacts icon.
  9. To enter the number manually:
    1. Enter the number.
    2. If desired, choose a match criteria option:
      • Exactly the same as (default)
      • Starts with
      • Ends with
      • Includes
    3. Tap Save when done.
  10. To search for the number:
    1. Tap Contacts.
    2. Select the Logs or Contacts tab.
    3. Tap the number to reject or tap the contact to add to the reject list.
    4. Tap Save.

 

Unblock calls

To allow incoming calls from a number you previously blocked, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any home screen, tap Phone.
  2. Select the Keypad or Logs tab.
  3. Tap Menu > Settings.
  4. Tap Call.
  5. Tap Call rejection.
  6. Tap Auto reject list.
  7. To allow calls but leave number on the list, clear the check box next to the number.
  8. To allow calls and remove number from the list:
    1. Tap the trash can.
    2. Select the check box next to the number.
    3. Tap Done.

 

Call forwarding unconditional

Call Forwarding Unconditional (CFU) immediately forwards all calls to another phone number without allowing the device to ring.

 

  1. From any home screen, tap Phone.
  2. Select the Keypad or Logs tab.
  3. Tap Menu > Settings.
  4. Tap Call.
  5. Tap Additional settings.
  6. Tap Call forwarding.
  7. Tap Always forward.
  8. Enter the phone number to forward your calls to.
  9. Tap Turn on.

 

Call forwarding conditional

Call Forwarding Conditional (CFC) forwards incoming calls to another phone number if you do not or cannot answer them (no reply, busy, unavailable).

 

  1. From any home screen, tap Phone.
  2. Select the Keypad or Logs tab.
  3. Tap Menu > Settings.
  4. Tap Call.
  5. Tap Additional settings.
  6. Tap Call forwarding.
  7. Select the desired option:
    • Forward when busy
    • Forward when unanswered
    • Forward when unreachable 
  8. Enter the phone number to forward calls to.
  9. Tap Update.

 

Cancel call forwarding

  1. From any home screen, tap Phone.
  2. Select the Keypad or Logs tab.
  3. Tap Menu > Settings.
  4. Tap Call.
  5. Tap Additional settings.
  6. Tap Call forwarding.
  7. Tap Always forward.
  8. Tap Turn off.

 

Caller ID settings

  1. From any home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Under APPLICATIONS, tap Call.
  4. Tap Additional settings.
  5. The system reads the settings. It may take a few seconds for the next screen to load.
  6. Tap Caller ID and then select a display setting:
    • Network default
    • Hide number
    • Show number

 

Reset call log

  1. From any home screen, tap the Phone icon.
  2. Select the Logs tab.
  3. Tap Menu > Delete.
  4. Tap Select all.
  5. Tap Done.
  6. Tap OK

 

View call log

Call logs may approximate the amount of time you have spent on phone calls, but they do not accurately show how much time T-Mobile bills.

 

  1. From any home screen, tap the Phone icon.
  2. Select the Logs tab.
  3. View the call logs.
  4. Tap a call to view more details.
