Keyboard: Kyocera DuraForce XD

Learn how to customize text entry and default keyboard settings on the Kyocera DuraForce XD.

 

 

 

Change default keyboard

 

  1. From the Home screen, tap Apps > Settings > Language & input.
  2. Tap Current Keyboard and choose the desired keyboard.

 

Enter symbols & numbers

 

  1. While in any text-entry field, tap the ?123 icon.
  2. To switch back to letters, tap the ABC icon.

 

Text entry mode

 

  1. From the Home screen, tap Apps > Settings > Language & input.
  2. Tap the desired keyboard (default is Google Keyboard).
  3. Tap Text correction and choose to turn the following options on or off:
    • Block offensive words
    • Auto-correction
    • Show correction suggestions
    • Personalized suggestions
    • Suggest Contact names
    • Next-word suggestions

 

Turn on / off haptic (vibration) feedback

 

  1. From the Home screen, tap Apps > Settings > Language & input.
  2. Tap the desired keyboard (default is Google Keyboard).
  3. Tap Preferences, then choose to turn the following options on or off:
    • Vibrate on keypress
    • Sound on keypress
