Backup & restore: Kyocera DuraForce XD

Learn how to back up and restore apps, contacts, photos, and data on the Kyocera DuraForce XD.

 

 

 

Back up apps

  1. From the Home screen, tap Apps > Settings > Accounts > Google > [your email address].
  2. Tap the switch next to App Data to turn on.
  3. Tap the Menu icon with three dots, then tap Sync now.

 

Back up contacts

  1. From the Home screen, tap Apps > Settings > Accounts > Google > [your email address].
  2. Tap the switch next to Contacts to turn on.
  3. Tap the Menu icon with three dots, then tap Sync now.

 

Back up contacts to SD card

  1. From the Home screen, tap Apps > Contacts.
  2. Tap the Menu icon with three dots, then tap Import/export > Export to SD card.
  3. Follow the prompts to choose what contacts to transfer.

 

Back up media & pictures

 

From phone

  1. From any home screen, tap Apps > Photos.
  2. If this is your first time accessing the app:
    1. Tap Get Started and wait for the Google sign in process to start.
    2. Choose to backup over Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi and mobile network, then tap Done.
  3. If you have previously accessed the app and signed in:
    1. Tap Menu > Settings > Backup & sync.
    2. Tap the switch at the top to turn back on.

 

From computer - PC

  1. Use the USB cable that came with your device and connect it to your PC.
  2. Drag down the device's notification bar and tap Touch for other USB options > Media device (MTP).
  3. On the AutoPlay pop up, select to open and view files.
  4. Browse the files and folders on your device. Drag and drop to transfer files.

 

From computer - Mac

  1. Use the USB cable that came with your device and connect it to your Mac.
  2. Drag down the device's notification bar and tap Touch for other USB options > Media device (MTP).
  3. On the AutoPlay pop up, select to open and view files.
  4. Browse the files and folders on your device. Drag and drop to transfer files.

 

Restore apps

This is done automatically the next time you sign into your Google account.

 

Restore contacts

  1. From the Home screen, tap Apps > Contacts.
  2. Tap the Menu icon with three dots, then tap Import/export > Import from SD card.
  3. Follow the prompts to choose what contacts to transfer.

 

Restore media & pictures
