Smartphone Mobile Hotspot: Samsung Galaxy Tab S2

Set up

  1. Check that Wi-Fi and Smartphone Mobile Hotspot are turned off.
  2. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Scroll to 'Connections,' then tap Tethering and Mobile HotSpot.
  5. Tap Mobile HotSpot.
  6. Move the slider to the ON position.
  7. If prompted, create a Wi-Fi password. When the pop-up window appears:
    1. Tap the Password field.
    2. Enter the password (passwords must be at least eight characters).
    3. Tap Save.
  8. Tap the MORE icon in the top right of the screen.
  9. Tap Configure Mobile Hotspot from the Menu drop down.
  10. Tap to adjust the following settings:
    • Network SSID
    • Broadcast network name (SSID) (on/off)
    • Security
    • Password
  11. If desired, select the 'Show password' check box.
  12. Once finished adjusting settings, tap SAVE.
  13. Tap the Mobile HotSpot Switch to turn on.
  14. If desired, tap OK read the First Time Use details or tap Cancel to proceed.
  15. The Mobile HotSpot Switch slides right and turns green.

 

Turn on / off

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to 'Connections,' then tap Tethering and Mobile HotSpot.
  4. Tap Mobile HotSpot.
  5. Move the slider to the ON or OFF position.
