T-Mobile Video Calling: Samsung Galaxy S7 edge

Learn how to use T-Mobile Video Calling on the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge.

 

 

 

Manage settings

Place a call

  1. Navigate to the Contact you want to Video call.
  2. If they are available, a green Camera icon will be next to their number. Tap this icon to begin the Video call.

 

Switch to video call

  1. From your Dialer, place an audio call to a contact by pressing the phone icon.
  2. In the Dialer, tap the VIDEO CALL option at the top of the screen to switch to a Video call.
  3. Once the Video call has connected you can choose from the following options:
    • Switch camera
    • Mute
    • Show me
    • Hide me
    • Decline
    • End call
  4. If you switch back to an audio call, you will not be able to switch back to a Video call. You will have to hang up and dial again to start a video call.

 

Turn on / off

Turn ON/OFF VoLTE Data network

 

Android 6.0 Marshmallow

  1. From any Home screen, tap Phone.
  2. Tap the MORE or Menu icon.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Voice over LTE settings.
  5. Select one of the following:
    • Turn on: Use VoLTE when available
    • Turn off: Do not use VoLTE

 

Android 7.0 Nougat

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Move the slider for Voice over LTE preferred to On or Off.

 

Turn ON/OFF Wi-Fi Calling

 

Android 6.0 Marshmallow

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap More connection settings.
  4. Tap Wi-Fi Calling.
  5. Slide the Wi-Fi Switch right to the ON position.
  6. Select the Wi-Fi preferred or Never use Cellular Network to turn on Wi-Fi calling.

 

Android 7.0 Nougat

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Connections.
  4. Tap More connection settings.
  5. Tap Wi-Fi Calling.
  6. Slide the Wi-Fi Switch right to the ON position.
  7. Select the Wi-Fi preferred or Never use Cellular Network to turn on Wi-Fi calling.
