Keyboard: Google Nexus 7

Learn how to customize text entry and default keyboard settings on the Google Nexus 7.

 

 

 

Change default keyboard

  1. From the home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Under 'Personal,' tap Language & input.
  4. Tap Current Keyboard.
  5. Tap CHOOSE KEYBOARDS.
  6. Tap to choose default keyboard:
    • Gboard
    • Google Korean Input
    • Google Pinyin Input
    • Google voice typing
    • iWinn IME

 

Enter symbols & numbers

  1. From the alphabet keyboard, tap the 123? key.
  2. Tap the number and symbol keys as necessary.
  3. Tap the ABC key to return to the alphabet keyboard.

 

Text entry mode

  1. From the home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap General.
  4. Under 'Personal,' tap Language & input.

  5. Tap the desired keyboard to adjust its text entry mode.
    • Gboard
    • Google Korean Input
    • Google Pinyin Input
    • Google voice typing
    • iWinn IME
  6. Follow additional prompts to edit text entry mode.
