SIM card: Samsung Galaxy S4

    Learn how to manage SIM messages on the Samsung Galaxy S4.

     

     

     

    Insert/remove SIM

    Insert

    1. Power off the device and then locate the release notch.

    2. Remove the back cover using the notch.

    3. Remove the battery using the notch located at the bottom of the compartment.
    4. Insert the SIM card as shown (with the gold contacts facing down). Push the SIM card into the slot until it clicks into place.

    5. Replace the battery.
    6. Replace the back cover.

     

     

    Remove

    1. Power off the device and then locate the release notch.

    2. Remove the back cover using the notch.

    3. Remove the battery using the notch located at the bottom of the compartment.
    4. Remove the SIM card by gently pushing the SIM card into the slot. Release your finger when SIM card clicks out of place.

    5. Slide the SIM card out of the slot.
    6. Replace the battery.
    7. Replace the back cover.

     

    Delete SIM messages

    1. From any Home screen, tap Messaging.
    2. Tap the Menu key and then tap Settings.
    3. Tap Manage SIM card messages.
    4. Tap the Menu key and then tap Delete.
    5. Tap each message to be deleted or tap Select all to delete all messages.
    6. Tap Delete and then tap OK.

     

    View free SIM space

    1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Select the More tab.
    4. Scroll to 'System Manager,' then tap Storage.
    5. Under 'Device Memory,' view the following:
      • Total space
      • System memory
      • Used space
      • Cached data
      • Miscellaneous files
      • Available space
