Block and manage calls: Samsung Galaxy S4

    Learn how to block calls, set or cancel call forwarding, and manage caller ID and the call log on the Samsung Galaxy S4.

     

     

     

    Block calls

          1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
          2. Settings.
          3. Tap the My device tab.

          4. Tap Call.
          5. Tap Call rejection.
          6. Check that Auto reject mode is set to Auto reject numbers.
          7. Tap Auto reject list.
          8. Tap Create.
          9. Select from the following options:
            1. Contacts
              1. Tap the Contacts icon.

              2. Tap Contacts.
              3. Tap Contacts again and then tap either Always or Just once.
                Note: If you have an account, you can also tap Dropbox.
              4. Tap the desired contact to be added to the list.
              5. Tap Save.
            2. Call logs

              1. Tap the Contacts icon and then tap Logs.

              2. Tap the number you want to reject.
              3. Tap Save.
            3. New number
              1. Enter the number you want to reject.

                Note: If desired, tap Match criteria to change the reject criteria (for example, if you wanted to reject all calls from an area code, select 'Starts with'). To reject complete phone numbers, make sure this setting is set to Exactly the same as.

              2. Tap Save

     

    Unblock calls

              1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
              2. Tap Settings.
              3. Tap the My device tab.
              4. Tap Call.
              5. Tap Call rejection.
              6. Tap Auto reject list.
              7. Choose one of the following options:
                • To allow calls but leave number on the list
                  1. Next to the desired number, tap the Check box to clear the Check box.
                    Note:
                    Do not tap the phone number.

                • To allow calls and remove number from the list
                  1. Tap the Trash can icon.

                  2. Tap the phone number to select the Check box.
                  3. Tap Delete and then tap Delete again to confirm

     

     

    Call forwarding unconditional

    Call Forwarding Unconditional (CFU) immediately forwards all calls to another phone number without allowing the device to ring.

     

    1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Tap the My device tab.
    4. Tap Call.
    5. Tap Additional settings.
    6. Tap Call forwarding.
    7. Tap Always forward.
    8. Enter the phone number to forward your calls to.

      Note: The number for voicemail forwarding is +18056377249.

    9. Tap Enable.

     

     

    Call forwarding conditional

    Call Forwarding Conditional (CFC) forwards incoming calls to another phone number if you do not or cannot answer them (no reply, busy, unavailable).

     

              1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
              2. Tap Settings.
              3. Tap the My device tab.
              4. Tap Call.
              5. Tap Additional settings.
              6. Tap Call forwarding.
              7. Tap the desired option:
                • Forward when busy
                • Forward when unanswered
                • Forward when unreachable
              8. Enter the phone number to forward your calls to.

                Note: The number +18056377249 is your voicemail number. If you change this number, calls for the desired option will no longer forward to voicemail.

              9. Tap Update.

     

     

    Cancel call forwarding

              1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
              2. Tap Settings.
              3. Tap the My device tab.
              4. Tap Call.
              5. Tap Additional settings.
              6. Tap Call forwarding.
              7. Tap Always forward.
              8. Tap Disable.

     

     

    Caller ID settings

    1. From any home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Tap on the My device tab.
    4. Under 'Personalization', tap Call.
    5. Tap Additional settings.
    6. Tap Caller ID.
    7. Select one of the following options:
      • Network default
      • Hide number
      • Show number

     

     

    Reset call log

              1. From any Home screen, tap the green Phone icon.
              2. Tap the Logs tab.

              3. Tap the Menu key and then tap Delete.
              4. Tap Select all.
              5. Tap Delete and then tap Delete again to confirm.

     

     

    View call log

        1. From any Home screen, tap the green Phone icon.

        2. Tap the Logs tab to view the call logs.

        3. If desired, tap a call log listing and then tap View more to view all of the call log listings for that number.
