Camera & gallery: Samsung Galaxy S4

Use these steps to support gallery functions on the Samsung Galaxy S4.

 

 

 

Camera settings

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Tap Camera.
  3. Tap the Menu key and then tap Settings.
  4. Tap the Camera icon to adjust the following settings for taking pictures:
    • Photo size
    • Burst shot (off/on)
    • Face detection (off/on)
    • Metering
    • ISO
    • Anti-shake (off/on)
    • Auto night detection (off/on)
  5. Tap the Camcorder icon to adjust the following settings for shooting video:
    • Video size
    • Video stabilization (off/on)
  6. Tap the Settings (gear) icon to adjust the following settings:
    • Location tag (on/off)
    • Review pics/videos (on/off)
    • Volume key
    • Timer
    • White balance
    • Exposure value
    • Guidelines (on/off)
    • Flash (on/off/auto)
    • Voice control (on/off)
    • Contextual filename (on/off)
    • Save as flipped (on/off)
    • Storage (device / memory card)
    • Shutter sound (on/off)
    • Reset

 

Dual shot

To use both the rear and front facing camera to capture photos or videos simultaneously and combine both moments into one, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Tap Camera.
  3. Above the Settings (gear) icon, tap the Dual shot icon.
  4. Touch and drag the picture in picture to move and resize if needed.
  5. Select the type of template.
  6. Tap the Shutter icon to capture the Dual shot. .

 

Sound & Shot

Sound shot enriches photos by adding background noise for a few seconds. A total of 9 seconds will be recorded.

 

Note: Sound & shot can only be shared from one Galaxy S 4 to another Galaxy S 4.

 

Sound & shot can only be shared via the following:

  • S Beam
  • Wi-Fi Direct
  • Email
  • Bluetooth

  • Animated photo
  • Drama

  • Auto

 

Delete pictures & videos

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Tap Gallery.
  3. If necessary, tap the drop-down arrow and then select the desired picture category.
    To delete entire albums, tap the Menu key, tap Select album and then skip to step 6.
  4. Tap the desired album.
  5. Tap the Menu key and then tap Select item.
  6. Tap each picture (or album, if applicable)  to be deleted.
  7. Tap the Trash can icon.
  8. Tap OK.

 

Screenshots

Keypad Method

  1. Navigate to the desired screen.
  2. At the same time, press and hold the Power key and the Home key.
  3. When the white border appears around the edge of the screen, release the keys. The screen shot has been captured.
  4. Screenshots are saved in the Gallery application inside the Screenshots album.

 

Screen Swipe Method

  1. Navigate to the desired screen.
  2. Place your index finger flush against the left side of the screen with your hand perpendicular to the screen.

  3. Swipe right until the white border appears around the edge of the screen. The screen shot has been captured.
  4. Screenshots are saved in the Gallery application inside the Screenshots album.
