    Learn how to use the browser on the Samsung Galaxy S4.

     

     

     

    Clear cache / cookies / history

    Internet

    1. From any Home screen, tap the Internet icon.
    2. Tap the Menu key.
    3. Tap Settings.
    4. Tap Privacy.
    5. Tap Delete personal data.
    6. Select one of the following:
      • Cache
      • Cookies and site data
      • Browsing history
    7. Tap Done.

     

    Chrome

    1. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
    2. Tap Chrome.
    3. Tap the Menu key.
    4. Tap Settings.
    5. Tap Privacy.
    6. Tap the Menu key, then tap CLEAR BROWSING DATA at the bottom of the screen.
    7. Check or uncheck the following as desired:
      • Clear browsing history
      • Clear the cache
      • Clear cookies, site data
      • Clear saved passwords
    8. Tap Clear.

     

    Open / close tabs / windows

    Internet

    1. From any Home screen, tap the Internet icon.
    2. Tap the Windows  icon.
    3. To close a window, tap the red -- icon inside the desired window to be closed.
    4. To add a window, tap the Add window icon at top right. Tap the URL field and enter the desired web address and then tap Go.

     

    Chrome

    1. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
    2. Tap Chrome.
    3. Tap the Tabs icon at top-right.
    4. To close a window, tap the x icon inside the desired window.
    5. To open a new window (called "tab" in Chrome), tap New tab.
    6. Tap the Search or type URL field and enter the desired web address. Tap Go.

     

    Set default storage

    1. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
    2. Tap Internet.
    3. Tap the Menu key.
    4. Swipe up on the menu and then tap Settings.
    5. Tap Content settings.
    6. Tap Default storage and then tap one of the following options:
      • Device
      • Memory card

     

    Turn on / off JavaScript

    Internet

    1. From any Home screen, tap the Internet icon.
    2. Tap the Menu key
    3. Tap Settings.
    4. Tap Content settings.
    5. To turn on, tap Enable JavaScript to select the Check box.
    6. To turn off, tap Enable JavaScript to clear the Check box.

     

    Chrome

    1. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
    2. Tap Chrome.
    3. Tap the Menu key.
    4. Tap Settings.
    5. Tap Content settings.
    6. To turn on JavaScript, select the Turn on JavaScript check box.
    7. To turn off JavaScript, deselect the Turn on JavaScript check box..
