Learn how to save battery life on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

 

 

 

Battery saving mode

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap the General tab.
  4. To turn on, tap the Power saving mode switch to On. The Switch moves right and turns green.
  5. To turn off, tap the Power saving mode switch to Off. The Switch moves left and turns gray.
  6. Tap Power saving mode.
  7. Tap Learn about Power saving mode to see tips for saving battery power.

 

Battery saving mode settings

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap the General tab.
  4. If necessary, tap the Power saving mode switch to On. The Switch moves right and turns green.
    Note: You are prevented from adjusting settings if the Switch is Off.
  5. Tap Power saving mode.
  6. For the following settings, tap to select the check box and turn on or clear the check box and turn off:
    • CPU power saving
    • Screen power saving
    • Turn off haptic feedback

 

Tips to save battery life

  • Change application sync settings.
  • Lower screen brightness and timeout duration.
  • Toggle from 4G to 2G.
  • Turn off background data.
  • Turn off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and Smartphone Mobile Hotspot.
  • Uninstall unused apps.
  • Update to the latest software.

 

Set device to sleep when unused

Press and then quickly release the Power key to set the screen to sleep mode.
