Battery saving mode
To turn on Power saving mode, follow these steps:
Android 6.0 Marshmallow
- From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Battery.
- Tap Power saving mode to move the slider to ON.
- Adjust when Power saving mode is turned on by tapping Start power saving and selecting one of the following:
- Immediately
- At 5% battery power
- At 15% battery power
- At 20% battery power
- At 50% battery power
Android 7.0 Nougat
- From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Device maintenance.
- Tap Battery.
- Tap MID under 'Power saving mode'.
- Customize the Power saving mode settings, then tap APPLY.
Ultra Battery saving mode
To turn on Ultra Power saving mode, follow these steps:
Android 6.0 Marshmallow
- From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Battery.
- Tap Ultra power saving mode to move the slider to ON.
- Check the terms and conditions then tap AGREE.
- Once active, tap one of the + icons to add additional applications to the Home screen.
- Ultra power saving mode includes the following applications:
- Phone (default application)
- Messages (default application)
- Internet (default application)
- Calculator
- Clock
- Google+
- Memo
- Voice Recorder
Android 7.0 Nougat
- From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Device maintenance.
- Tap Battery.
- Tap MAX under 'Power saving mode'.
- Customize the Power saving mode settings, then tap APPLY.
Tips to save battery life
- Change application sync settings
- Lower screen brightness and timeout duration
- Toggle from 4G to 2G
- Turn off background data
- Uninstall unused apps
- Update to the latest software
Set device to sleep when unused
Press and then quickly release the Power key to set the screen to sleep mode.
Turn off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and Smartphone Mobile Hotspot
- From the Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap the service you wish to turn off.
