Manage messages: Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+

Learn how to block, delete and save SMS / MMS messages on the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+.

 

 

 

Block messages or spam

From settings

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Tap the MORE or Menu icon.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Block messages to select the check box.
  5. Tap Block list.
  6. Manually enter number and tap the + plus sign or choose from Inbox or Contacts.

  7. When finished, tap the back arrow.

 

From the number

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Touch and hold the conversation thread from the number you want to block.
  3. Tap the Remove from spam icon in the top-right corner.

 

Unblock messages

From settings

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Tap the MORE or Menu icon.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Block messages to select the check box.
  5. Tap Block list.
  6. Tap the minus sign next to the number you want to remove.
  7. When finished, tap the back arrow.

 

From the number

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Touch and hold the conversation thread from the number you want to unblock.
  3. Tap the Remove from spam icon in the top-right corner.

 

Delete picture messages (MMS) and text messages (SMS)

Delete an individual message

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Touch and hold the message you want to delete.
  3. Tap DELETE.
  4. Tap DELETE.

 

Delete an individual message inside a conversation

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. If necessary, expand the conversation to view the individual messages.
  3. Touch and hold the message you want to delete.
  4. Tap DELETE.
  5. Tap DELETE.

 

Delete an entire conversation

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Touch and hold the conversation.
  3. Verify that conversation and Select all are checked.
  4. Tap DELETE.
  5. Tap DELETE.

 

Save pictures received in a message (MMS)

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Tap the conversation thread containing the message you want to save.
  3. Touch and hold the picture you want to save.
  4. Tap Save attachment.
  5. Tap the file name to select the the check box.
  6. Tap Save.
  7. The image is now stored in your Gallery in the "download" folder.

 

SMS service center number

 

Note: You cannot change the service center number. Follow the below steps to view the current number.

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Tap the MORE or Menu icon.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap More settings.
  5. Tap Text messages.
  6. View the number under Message center.
