Manage messages: Samsung GALAXY Core Prime

Learn how to block, delete and save SMS / MMS messages on the Samsung GALAXY Core Prime.

 

 

 

Block messages or spam

 

From settings

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Touch and hold the conversation thread from the number you want to block.
  3. Tap the Add to spam numbers icon in the top right-hand corner.

 

From the number

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Tap the MORE icon.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Spam filter to select the check box.
  5. Tap Manage spam numbers.
  6. Manually enter number and tap the + plus sign or choose from Inbox or Contacts.
  7. When finished, tap the back arrow.

 

Unblock messages

From settings

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Touch and hold the conversation thread from the number you want to unblock.
  3. Tap the Remove from spam in the top right-hand corner.

 

From the number

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Tap the MORE icon.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Spam filter to select the check box.
  5. Tap Manage spam numbers.
  6. Tap the minus sign next to the number you want to remove.
  7. When finished, tap the back arrow.

 

Delete picture messages (MMS) or text messages (SMS)

Delete an individual message

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Touch and hold the message you wish to delete.
  3. Tap DELETE.
  4. Tap DELETE.

Delete an individual message inside a conversation

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. If necessary, expand the conversation to view the individual messages.
  3. Touch and hold the message you wish to delete.
  4. Tap DELETE.
  5. Tap DELETE.

Delete an entire conversation

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Touch and hold the conversation.
  3. Verify the conversation and Select all are checked.
  4. Tap DELETE.
  5. Tap DELETE

 

Save pictures received in a message (MMS)

To save a picture you received as a picture message (MMS), follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Tap the conversation thread containing the message you want to save.
  3. Touch and hold the picture you want to save.
  4. Tap Save attachment.
  5. Tap the file name to select the the check box.
  6. Tap Save.
  7. The image is now stored in your Gallery in the 'download' folder.

 

SMS service center number

Note: We're sorry, but you cannot change the service center number. Follow the below steps to view the current number.

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Tap the MORE icon.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap More settings.
  5. Tap Text messages.
  6. View the number under Message center
