Notifications & ringtones: ZTE ZMAX

Learn how to set alerts, ringtones, and notifications on the ZTE ZMAX.

Emergency alerts

1. Tap the Apps icon.
2. Tap Messaging.
3. Tap Menu.
4. Tap Settings.
5. Scroll down to the 'EMERGENCY ALERTS' section, then tap Receive Emergency Alerts.
6. Choose from the following:
   • Extreme Imminent Threat Alerts
   • Severe Imminent Threat Alerts
   • AMBER Alerts

Incoming email

1. From any Home screen, tap the All apps icon.
2. Tap Email.
3. Tap the Menu icon.
4. Tap Settings.
5. Tap the desired email account.
6. Scroll to the 'NOTIFICATION SETTINGS' heading, then enable the Email Notifications check box.
7. Tap Inbox sound and vibrate.
8. Tap Sound.
9. Select the desired notification sound.

Ringtones

Ringtone for all calls

1. From any Home screen, tap the All apps icon.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Sound.
4. Tap Phone ringtone.
5. Select desired ringtone from list.
6. Tap OK to confirm.
7. If desired, tap to select the Vibrate when ringing check box.

Ringtone for calls from one contact

You cannot assign a ringtone to contacts stored on the SIM card or phone (device memory).

1. From any Home screen, tap the All apps icon.
2. Tap Contacts.
3. Choose desired contact.
4. Tap the Menu icon
5. Tap Set ringtone.
6. Select desired ringtone.
7. Tap OK to confirm.
