Smartphone Mobile Hotspot: ZTE ZMAX

Set up

  1. Check that Wi-Fi and Smartphone Mobile Hotspot are turned off.
  2. From any Home screen, tap the All apps icon.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Under the 'WIRELESS & NETWORKS' heading, tap More.
  5. Tap Tethering & Mobile HotSpot.
  6. Tap to select the Mobile Hotspot check box.
  7. Tap Mobile HotSpot settings.
  8. Tap Configure Mobile HotSpot.
  9. Tap the Network SSID field to enter a new network name, if desired.
  10. Tap the Security drop-down menu and select the desired options.
  11. If prompted, enter a password.
  12. Tap Save.
  13. Tap Mobile HotSpot turn off timer and choose one of the following:
    • After 5 minutes of inactivity
    • After 10 minutes of inactivity
    • Never
  14. Tap Maximum connections and choose a number (1-8).
  15. Tap Allowed devices to select the following:
    1. Tap the check box to turn Allow all devices on or off.
    2. If desired, tap ADD NEW, enter a Name and MAC address to add a device to the allowed devices list, then tap Save.
    3. If desired, tap DELETE, tap the check boxes to select devices to remove from the allowed list, then tap Remove.
    4. Press the Back button.
  16. Tap Power Mode and choose one of the following:
    • Maximum battery life
    • Maximum HotSpot range

 

Turn on / off

  1. From any Home screen, tap the All apps icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Under the 'WIRELESS & NETWORKS' heading, tap More.
  4. Tap Tethering & Mobile HotSpot.
  5. Tap the Mobile Hotspot check box to turn it on or off
