SIM card: Samsung Galaxy Tab 3

Learn how to manage SIM messages on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.

 

 

 

Insert/remove SIM

This device supports a Micro-GBA size SIM card.

 

Insert

  1. With the screen facing up, open the SIM card slot cover.
  2. Push the SIM card into the slot with the gold contacts facing down, as shown, until it clicks into place.

  3. Close the SIM card slot cover.
  4. If the card is not inserted correctly, the device will not detect the SIM card. Re-orient the card back into the slot if the SIM is not detected.

Remove

  1. With the screen facing up, open the SIM card slot cover.
  2. Gently press the SIM card into the slot until it click.
  3. Release the SIM to allow it to pop out.

 

Delete SIM messages

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Tap Menu .
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Text Messages.
  5. Tap Manage SIM card messages.
  6. Tap the Menu key.
  7. Tap Delete.
  8. Tap each message to be deleted or Select all.
  9. Tap Delete.
  10. Tap OK.

 

View free SIM space

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Storage.
  4. Under 'Device memory,' view the Available space value.
