Manage messages: Samsung Galaxy Tab 3

Learn how to block, delete and save SMS / MMS messages on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.

 

 

 

Block messages or spam

 

From settings

  1. From any Home screen, tap the  AppsAll+Apps.png icon.
  2. Tap  Messaging .
  3. Tap the  Menu key.
  4. Tap  Settings .
  5. If necessary, tap  Spam settings  to select the check box.
  6. Tap  Register number as spam .
  7. Tap the  + icon (plus sign).
  8. Manually enter the number or tap the Contacts icon to search your contacts list.
  9. When finished, tap  Save .

 

From the number

  1. From any Home screen, tap the  AppsAll+Apps.png icon.
  2. Tap  Messaging .
  3. Touch and hold on the conversation thread from the number you want to block.
  4. Tap  Register number as spam  and then tap  OK .

 

Unblock messages

From settings

  1. From any Home screen, tap the  AppsAll+Apps.png icon.
  2. Tap  Messaging .
  3. Tap the  Menu key.
  4. Tap  Settings .
  5. If necessary, tap  Spam settings  to select the check box.
  6. Tap  Register number as spam .
  7. Touch and hold on the desired number and then tap  Delete .
  8. Tap  OK .

From the number

  1. From any Home screen, tap the  AppsAll+Apps.png icon.
  2. Tap  Messaging .
  3. Touch and hold on the conversation thread from the number you want to block.
  4. Tap  Remove from spam numbers .

 

Delete picture messages (MMS)

  1. From any Home screen, tap the  AppsAll+Apps.png icon.
  2. Tap  Messaging .
  3. From the left column, tap the message thread that contains the message you want to delete.
  4. Tap the  Trash Can icon.
  5. Tap to select the check box next to each message in the thread that you want to delete.
  6. Tap  Delete .
  7. Tap  OK .

 

Delete text messages (SMS)

  1. From any Home screen, tap the  AppsAll+Apps.png icon.
  2. Tap  Messaging .
  3. From the left column, tap the message thread that contains the message you want to delete.
  4. Tap the  Trash Can icon.
  5. Tap to select the check box next to each message in the thread that you want to delete.
  6. Tap  Delete .
  7. Tap  OK .

 

Save pictures received in a message (MMS)

To save a picture you received as a picture message (MMS), follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the AppsAll+Apps.png icon.
  2. Tap  Messaging .
  3. From the left column, tap the thread containing the picture you want to save.
  4. Touch and hold on the picture.
  5. Tap  Save attachment .
  6. Tap the image file name to select the check box.
  7. Tap  Save .
