Touch screen troubleshooting: T-Mobile Wing

While using a T-Mobile Wing you may notice the touch screen  on the device randomly stop working, cannot calibrate, or can no longer  respond to any touch presses with the stylus. This is a known issue that affects  a small portion of T-Mobile Wing devices.

 

The images below show the stylus  being placed in two different locations on the touch screen and the device not  responding.

To  resolve this issue perform the following steps:

 

  1. Remove any screen protector from the device screen.
  2. Turn off the device and turn it back on.
  3. Test the touch screen again.
  4. If the issue recurs, perform a soft reset on the device by briefly inserting the stylus into the left side of  the device as shown below.

  5. When the device turns on, test the touch screen again.
  6. If the issue recurs, remove the battery from the device.
  7. Re-insert the battery.
  8. Turn on the device, and test the touch screen again.
  9. If the issue recurs, the customer must perform a master reset. See Master reset using hardware buttons - T-Mobile Wing.
  10. Test the touch screen again.
