Now, we’ve optimized video streaming for your mobile devices.
In addition, all eligible lines in your account will now get Binge On™, so you can stream videos, movies, and TV shows from more than 20 streaming services including Netflix®, HBO Now, Hulu, the Best of Live TV with Sling TV, WatchESPN, Showtime, and many more. Plus, there’s no additional charge and no action required on your part.
Along with all the great benefits you get with Binge On, you’ll continue to get Data Stash™, which now holds up to 20 GB for up to 12 months. If you’d like to keep things the way they are, you can opt out, but that means all of your video streaming will count against your high-speed data.
If you disable Binge On, your video streaming will no longer be optimized and you'll use your 4G LTE Data faster. To update your preferences, log in to My T-Mobile where you can make changes to your account. If you don't have a My T-Mobile account, click SIGN UP at the login page and follow the steps.
All Simple Choice™ customers, including T-Mobile for Business, are eligible. Simple Choice customers with 3 GB of data or more can also stream Netflix, HBO Now, Hulu, the Best of Live TV with Sling TV, WatchESPN, Showtime, and more for free, without worrying about using up data. Businesses can choose to enable or disable Binge On for the entire account or individual lines on the account.
Note: Only video streaming is included. Data used to load and browse content on streaming provider apps and websites is still deducted from data buckets.
For new customers, Binge On is available starting November 15. All of our existing customers on a qualifying plan receives Binge On starting November 19.
How much does it cost?
Absolutely nothing. It’s another included Un-carrier benefit at no extra charge.
You still benefit with Binge On! When Binge On is enabled, you’ll get all the benefits of unlimited video streaming on your smartphone. And when you use your phone as a mobile hotspot, you can stream Netflix, HBO Now, Hulu, the Best of Live TV with Sling TV, WatchESPN, Showtime, and more for free, without counting against your tethering bucket.
You'll still receive the benefit of optimized video streaming with Binge On to get up to 3 times more video from your data. For as low as $10 more per month, you can increase your data bucket and enjoy all the free unlimited video streaming from your favorite streaming services like Netflix, HBO Now, Hulu, the Best of Love TV with Sling TV, WatchESPN, Showtime, and more without ever touching your high-speed data.
Yes, you can stream unlimited video from Netflix, HBO Now, Hulu, the Best of Live TV with Sling TV, WatchESPN, Showtime, and more without ever touching your 4G LTE data, and you’ll get up to 3 times more video streaming from your data when streaming video on all other services with Binge On enabled. Binge On works great to stream video to your tablet or even when you use your tablet as a hotspot to watch a movie on your laptop.
Yes, Binge On is automatically enabled so your data will stretch up to 3 times further when you are streaming video. If you turn off Binge On™ video streaming, you'll no longer be optimized to DVD-quality experience (typically 480p or better) resulting in your 4G LTE data being consumed faster. You choose your video-viewing experience. You're free to disable it at any time, and then enable it again. When it’s disabled, you'll lose your Binge On benefits. If you're a T-Mobile for Business customer, you can turn it on or off by logging in to My T-Mobile and make changes to your account. If you don't have a My T-Mobile account, click SIGN UP at the login page and follow the steps.
Note: If you turn off Binge On, then your favorite services like Netflix, HBO Now, Hulu, the Best of Live TV with Sling TV, WatchESPN, Showtime, and more will not stream for free and will count against your high-speed data bucket.
It looks great. Binge On optimizes video quality for smartphone screens. It provides a great DVD-quality (typically 480p or better) experience, which can also minimize buffering and maximize quality while using a fraction of the data. It's your choice. You can always choose to turn off Binge On. However, with it off you'll no longer have the ability to stream for free from your favorite streaming services or have video optimized for your smartphone screen resulting in higher usage of your high-speed data.
If you stream through Wi-Fi or domestic roaming, your resolution defaults to the highest available based on the internet service provider or domestic roaming partner.
Yes, if you have a 3 GB plan and have migrated to our latest version of Data Stash, you can take advantage of Binge On and you can stash up to a whopping 20 GB for up to 12 months with Data Stash.
You can choose to keep your current Data Stash plan where all your unused high speed date rolls forward each month for 12 months and still benefit from optimized video streaming. However, you won't be eligible for unlimited video streaming from Netflix, HBO Now, Hulu, the Best of Live TV with Sling TV, WatchESPN, Showtime, and more without touching your 4G LTE data.
If you have stashed more than 20 GB, you get to keep it, and then you can stash up to 20 GB for up to 12 months after that.
Because video streams free from your favorite video streaming services and all other video streaming is optimized to last up to 3 times longer, we think it'll be hard to run out of data. But if you do—and you have Data Stash—then you'll draw from your Data Stash. If you exhaust your Data Stash, you’ll never get hit by an overage.
Binge On is only available while on our network in the United States.
Gogo follows the same rules as using Wi-Fi. It will default to the highest available speed based on the internet provider.
Limited time offers; on qualifying plans. Video streaming from included services does not count toward full-speed data allotment on our network. Third-party content and subscription charges may apply. Once high-speed data allotment is reached, all usage slowed to up to 2G speeds until end of bill cycle. Up to 30% off selected subscription; may appear as bill credit or 3rd party discount. Data Stash: Up to 20 GB of on-network data from past 12 months carries over to next billing cycle for as long as you maintain qualifying postpaid service. Coverage not available in some areas. Network Management: Service may be slowed, suspended, terminated, or restricted for misuse, abnormal use, interference with our network or ability to provide quality service to other users, or significant roaming. Customers who use an extremely high amount of data in a bill cycle will have their data usage de-prioritized compared to other customers for that bill cycle at locations and times when competing network demands occur, resulting in relatively slower speeds. See T-Mobile.com/OpenInternet for details.
