Master reset: HTC Radar 4G

Learn how to master reset the HTC Radar 4G through the menu or hardware keys.

 

 

 

 

Master reset from settings menu

 

A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloaded content, ringtones, images, apps, and contacts. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card or SD card.

 

To perform a master reset, follow these steps:

 

  1. Back up all data on the internal memory.
  2. From the Start screen, swipe left.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap about.
  5. Tap reset your phone.
  6. Read the warning about all personal content being erased.
  7. Tap yes.
  8. Tap yes again.

 

 

Master reset with hardware keys

 

A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloaded content, ringtones, images, apps, and contacts. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card or SD card.

 

If the device menus are frozen or unresponsive, you can master reset using hardware keys. To perform a master reset, follow these steps:

 

  1. Back up all data on the internal memory.
  2. Turn off the phone.
  3. Press and hold the Volume Up and Volume Down keys
  4. Press the Power/Lock key.
  5. Release the Volume keys when text appears on the screen.
  6. Press the Volume Down key to highlight Factory Reset.
  7. Press then Power/Lock key to select Factory Reset.
  8. Press the Volume Down key to perform the reset.
  9. After the reset is complete, press the Volume Down key to restart the phone.
