Keyboard: T-Mobile myTouch Q by LG (C800)

Learn how to customize text entry and default keyboard settings on the T-Mobile myTouch Q by LG (C800).

 

 

 

 

Change default keyboard

 

To change the default keyboard, follow these steps:

 

  1. Touch and hold in a text entry field.
  2. Touch Input method.
  3. Touch one of the following options:
    • Swype
    • Android keyboard

 

 

Enter symbols & numbers

 

To enter symbols and numbers with the keyboard, follow these steps:

 

Android keyboard - Qwerty

  1. Touch a text field.
  2. Touch the the ?123 or ALT key.
  3. Touch to enter the  desired number or Symbol.
  4. Touch the ABC key to return to text entry mode.


Swype keyboard

  1. Touch a text field.
  2. Touch the the 123+!= key. If desired, touch the 1/2 key above the Swype key for more symbols.
  3. Touch to enter the  desired number or Symbol.
  4. Touch the ABC key to return to text entry mode.

 

 

Text entry mode

 

To change the text entry or predictive text mode, follow these steps:

 

Predictive text mode

  1. Touch and hold in a text entry field.
  2. Touch Input method.
  3. Touch Android keyboard.
  4. Touch the Settings icon on the keyboard.
  5. Touch to select the Show suggestions or Auto-complete check boxes.
  6. Touch the Back key to return to the text field.
  7. Enter text. Word options will appear above the on-screen keyboard.
  8. Touch the desired word in the list.

 

Traditional mode

  1. Touch and hold in a text entry field.
  2. Touch Input method.
  3. Touch Android keyboard.
  4. Touch the Settings icon on the keyboard.
  5. Touch to clear the Show suggestions or Auto-complete check boxes.
  6. Touch the Back key to return to the text field.
  7. Enter text. Word options will appear above the on-screen keyboard.
  8. Touch the desired word in the list.

 

 

Turn on / off haptic feedback

 

To turn on or turn off haptic feedback vibration, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press Menu.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Sound.
  4. Check/uncheck Haptic feedback to turn on or off.
