Your phone can share its mobile data connection with a single computer via a USB cable.
Tethering works with Windows® 7, Windows Vista®, and WindowsXP, and with Mac OS X. For more information about tethering and operating systems, or to download a necessary configuration file for tethering on WindowsXP, visitwww.android.com/tether.
- Note: When youconnect your phone to your computer with a USB cable, you can either tether oraccess files on your phone’s memory card, but you cannot do both. If you want to use your computer to access the memory card, you must turn off tethering.
Tethering via USB
To connect the device internet to a computer via USB cable, follow these steps:
- Connect your device to a computer using a USB cable.
- Tap the Menu key.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Wireless & network.
- Tap Tethering.
- Tap USB tethering.
Your device starts sharing its mobile network data connection with your computer or other device via the USB connection.
