Format SD card

 

Formatting the SD card deletes all data on it. You may wish to format the SD card if you want to delete the files, if files or apps on the SD card are not working, or if the SD card is not working.

 

To format the SD card while inserted in the device, follow these steps:

Insert / remove SD card

 

To insert or remove the SD card, follow these steps:

 

  1. Swing open the memory card slot cover on the left side of the handset.
  2. With the contacts facing down, push the card into the slot until it clicks.
    Note: To remove the card, push the card in until it releases and then pull the card from the slot.C_26_6_51_121_img01.jpg
  3. Replace the cover over the slot and snap it into place.

 

 

Open / delete files

 

Open or delete files using the computer

To open or delete files on the SD card using a computer, follow these steps:

 

You must use the USB cable that comes with your phone.

 

  1. From the main screen, select Main Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Scroll to and select Phone Settings.
  4. Scroll to and select USB Mode.
  5. Scroll to and select Mass Storage.
  6. Select Save.
  7. Connect the included USB cord to the handset first, then to your computer.                C_26_6_51_117_img02.jpg
  8. Click OK.
  9. Double-click on the desired folder to access your files.
  10. When you are finished, click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the lower right corner of your computer screen.
  11. Click Safely Remove USB Mass Storage Device.

 

Open or delete files using the device

To open or delete files on the SD card using the device, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the main screen, select Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Fun & Apps.
  3. Select Files.
  4. Scroll to and select Memory card.
  5. Scroll to and select the folder.
  6. Scroll to the file.
  7. Select Options.
  8. Scroll to and select Delete.
  9. Select Selected.
  10. Select Yes.

 

 

Set default memory storage

 

By default, the device stores data on the internal storage. To set the default memory storage to another location, follow these steps:

Transfer files

 

Transfer files between computer & SD card

To transfer files and pictures between the computer and SD card, follow these steps:

 

Important: You must use the USB cable that comes with your phone.

  1. From the main screen, select Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Phone settings.
  3. Scroll to and select USB mode.
  4. Scroll to and select Mass storage.
  5. Connect the included USB cord to the slot on the upper-right side of the handset first, then to your computer.C_26_6_51_7_Img.jpg
  6. When a Portable Device window appears on your computer, click Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer.C_26_6_51_117_img02.jpg
  7. Click OK.
  8. On the computer, double-click the Music folder in the handset’s drive to access your files.
  9. Drag and drop the file from the folder onto your computer desktop or into another folder.
  10. When you are finished, click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the lower-right corner of your computer screen.
  11. Click Safely Remove USB Mass Storage Device.

 

 

Transfer files between internal storage & SD card

To transfer files between internal storage & SD card, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the main screen, select Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Fun & Apps.
  3. Select Files.
  4. Select from the following:
    • Sounds
    • Images
    • Icons
    • Videos
    • Music
    • Other files
  5. Scroll to and select the folder.
  6. Scroll to the file.
  7. Select Options.
  8. Scroll to and select Move to memory card.
  9. Select Selected.

 

 

View free SD card space

To view the amount of free SD card storage, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the main screen, select Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Scroll to and select Phone settings.
  4. Scroll to and select Memory status.
  5. Scroll to and select Files.
  6. Press the Navigation key to the right once to view available memory on the memory card.
