Hide apps

Although you may be unable to uninstall some preloaded apps, you may be able to hide and disable them. This causes them to hide from the Apps menu and not perform updates.

To hide or disable preloaded apps, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Home screen 1 and tap BlackBerry World.
  2. Tap The Menu icon at bottom-left and then tap My world.
  3. Tap My Apps & Games.
  4. Tap Apps & Games to open the drop down menu and then tap Downloaded.
  5. Touch and hold on the desired app.
Note: Some apps cannot be uninstalled. Therefore, the Trash can icon will be unavailable.
  6. Tap the Trash can icon.
Note: If you tap Delete, the app will be permanently deleted.
  7. Tap Uninstall.
