Learn how to delete and save SMS and MMS messages on the HTC One S.

 

 

 

 

 

Add SMS service center number

 

To add or change the SMS service center number, follow these steps:

 

Note: We're sorry, but you cannot change the service center number. Follow the below steps to view the current number.

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Scroll to and tap Messages.
  3. Tap the Menu icon.
  4. Tap Settings.
  5. Tap Text messages (SMS).
  6. View the service center number.

 

 

Delete picture messages (MMS)

 

To delete picture messages (MMS), follow these steps:

 

Delete the entire conversation thread

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Scroll to and tap Messages.
  3. Touch and hold the conversation thread containing the MMS message.
  4. Tap Delete, and then tap OK.


Delete individual MMS messages

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Scroll to and tap Messages.
  3. Select the desired conversation thread.
  4. Tap the callout area under the picture message thumbnail.
    Note: Do not tap the picture message thumbnail.
  5. Tap Delete message, and then tap OK.

 

 

Delete text messages (SMS)

 

To delete text messages (SMS), follow these steps:

 

Delete the entire conversation thread

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Scroll to and tap Messages.
  3. Touch and hold the conversation thread containing the SMS message.
  4. Tap Delete, and then tap OK.


Delete individual SMS messages

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Scroll to and tap Messages.
  3. Select the desired conversation thread.
  4. Tap the Menu icon, and then tap Delete messages.
  5. Tap Delete by selection.
  6. Select each message to be deleted, and then tap Delete.

 

 

Save pictures received in a message (MMS)

 

To save a picture you received as a picture message (MMS), follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Scroll to and tap Messages.
  3. Select the desired message thread.
  4. Touch and hold the preview of the picture you want to save.
  5. Tap Save.
    Note: Files save to the All downloads and All photos folders in the 'My phone' section of the Gallery app.
