Drivers for computers


To download and install device drivers for computers, follow these steps:


Mac computer

  1. Connect your device to the computer using the USB cable.
  2. When the pop-up window appears, double-click the HTC Sync icon or else navigate towww.htc.com/www/software/htc-sync-manager.
  3. Click Free download.
  4. Next to “I agree to the terms of the license agreement,” click the Check box.
  5. Click Download.
  6. When the download finishes, click the Downloads icon.
  7. Next to ‘setup_2.0.56_htc.dmg,’ click the Install icon.
  8. Double-click HTC Sync Manager.




PC computer

  1. Connect your device to the computer using the USB cable.
  2. When the ‘Do you want to download HTC Sync Manager now?’ pop-up window appears, click Yes.
    Note: If the pop-up window fails to appear, you can follow these steps:
    1. Navigate to www.htc.com/www/software/htc-sync-manager.
    2. Click Free download, select the Check box, and then click Download.
    3. When the download finishes, click Setup_2.0.53.0_htc.exe. Click Run, and then skip to step 5.
  3. Click I accept the terms of the license agreement, and then click Next.
  4. If desired, click Change to adjust where the program will install.
  5. Click Install.
  6. Click Finish.



Tethering via USB


To connect the device internet to a computer via USB cable, follow these steps:


  1. Connect a USB cord to the phone, then to a computer.
  2. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap More.
  5. Tap Mobile network sharing.
  6. Tap USB network setting.
  7. Turn on USB tethering.
    Note: USB cord must be attached to access USB tethering.
  8. If prompted on a Windows XP computer, click Next to install the driver software via the Found New Hardware Wizard. If necessary, click Browse and navigate to My Computer or My Documents, then clickNext.
    Note: If prompted on a Mac OS X computer, click Network Preferences to set up the Android phone network interface. Click Apply.
  9. Your phone is now sharing its mobile network data connection with your computer via the USB connection.When finished, disable tethering and then safely disconnect the phone from the computer.
