Add an email account manually

 

To set up an email account and manually enter the settings, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Email.
  3. Tap the Menu key.
  4. Tap More.
  5. Tap Accounts.
  6. Tap the Menu key.
  7. Tap Add  account.
  8. Tap the Email address field.
  9. Enter your email address.
  10. Tap Next.
  11. Tap the Password field.
  12. Enter your password.
  13. Tap Done.
  14. Tap Manual  setup.
  15. Tap Exchange.
  16. Tap Next.
  17. Enter the  Exchange server Domain\Username, Password, Server and security type.
    • Note: Contact your  system administrator if you do not have this information.
  18. Tap Done.
  19. Tap Next.
  20. Tap OK.
  21. Verify the data  synchronization settings.
  22. Tap Next.
  23. Enter a name for  your account.
  24. Tap Done.
  25. If desired, tap Activate to activate device  administrator.

 

 

Add a Gmail account

 

To set up a Gmail email account, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Accounts & sync.
  4. Tap Add account.
  5. Tap Google.
  6. Tap Next.
  7. Tap Sign in.
  8. Enter  your user name and password.
  9. Tap Done.
  10. Tap Sign in.
  11. Tap Finish setup.

 

 

Delete an email account

 

To delete an email account, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home  screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Email.
  3. Tap the Menu key.
  4. Tap More.
  5. Tap Accounts.
  6. Touch and hold the  account you want to delete.
  7. Tap Remove account.
  8. Tap OK.
