Change default keyboard

 

To change the default keyboard, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Language & keyboard.
  4. Tap Select input method.
  5. choose desired keyboard.

 

 

Enter symbols & numbers

 

To enter symbols and numbers with the keyboard, follow these steps:

 

  1. From within any text entry screen, tap the text entry field.
  2. For Swype keyboard:
  3. Tap +!= to switch to symbols and numbers.
  4. Tap the More symbols key to view more symbols.
  5. Tap the desired symbol or number.
  6. Tap ABC to switch back to text entry.

For Android keyboard:

  1. Tap ?123 to switch to symbols and numbers.
  2. Tap ALT to view more symbols.
  3. Tap the desired symbol or number.
  4. Tap ABC to switch back to text entry.

 

 

Text entry mode

 

To change the text entry or predictive text mode, follow these steps:

 

  1. Touch and hold a text field.
  2. Tap Select input method.
  3. Select from the following keyboard input modes:
    • Android keyboard
    • Swype


To enter text using Swype:

  1. Drag your finger from the first letter to the second letter and continue dragging to the next letter until you reach the last letter in the word.
  2. Lift your finger from the screen.
  3. If prompted, tap the word from the list displayed.

To enter text using predictive text mode:

  1. Tap to enter the desired letters of a word.
  2. Tap the word from the list displayed.

To enter text using traditional mode:

  1. Touch and hold a text field.
  2. Tap Input method.
  3. Select Android keyboard.
  4. Enter the desired text.

 

 

Turn on / off haptic feedback

 

To turn on or turn off haptic feedback vibration, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press Menu.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Sounds.
  4. Tap Haptic feedback, check to enable/uncheck to disable.
