T-Mobile offers this benefit to help you protect your device. You're not required to purchase Device Protection in order to activate service with T-Mobile. But, without protection, you may be responsible for the full replacement cost of your device. You can enroll within 14 days of a qualified T-Mobile device purchase.

You may already have coverage through homeowner’s or renter's insurance (T-Mobile's associates are not qualified or authorized to evaluate your existing insurance coverages). Keep in mind, if you have other coverage, the deductible you'd have to pay with another insurer may be higher.
