Add an email account manually

 

To set up an email account and manually enter the settings, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Applications.
  2. Tap Email.
    • Note: If you have already set up another e-mail account, tap the Menu key. Tap Accounts and then tap Add account.
  3. Enter your e-mail address in the Email address field.
  4. Enter your password in the Password field.
  5. Tap Manual setup.
  6. Select one of the following options:
    • POP3 account
    • IMAP account
    • Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync
  7. If desired, scroll through and tap to add or change incoming e-mail configuration settings.
  8. Tap Next.
  9. If desired, scroll through and tap to add or change outgoing e-mail configuration settings.
  10. Tap Next.
  11. If desired, change the Email check frequency, retrieval size, and notification options.
  12. Tap Next.
  13. If desired, enter a name for the account and specify your name.
  14. Tap Done.

 

 

Add a Gmail account

 

To set up a Gmail email account, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Applications.
  2. Scroll to and tap Gmail.
  3. If prompted, review tips for adding a Google account.
  4. Tap Next.
  5. Tap Sign in.
  6. Tap the Username field to open the on-screen keyboard.
  7. Enter your username.
  8. Enter your password.
  9. Tap the Back key.
  10. Tap Sign in.
  11. Tap Next.
  12. Tap Finish setup.

 

 

Delete an email account

 

To delete an email account, follow these steps:

 

  1. To delete e-mail account, follow these steps:
  2. Go to Applications
  3. Go to Email
  4. Tap Menu
  5. Select Accounts
  6. Tap and hold the account and then select Remove account
  7. Tap OK
