Learn how to manage contacts on the Samsung Galaxy S 4G.

 

 

 

 

Add contact

 

To add a new contact to the phone book, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Contacts.
  2. If necessary, tap Done at the Tips screen.
  3. Tap the Menu key.
  4. Tap Create contact.
  5. Select from one of the following options:
    • Phone
    • SIM
    • T-Mobile Contacts Backup
  6. Tap the First name field to open the on-screen keyboard.
  7. Enter the contact’s first name.
  8. If desired, tap to enter additional contact information.
  9. When finished, tap Save.

 

 

Add contact to speed dial

 

To assign a contact to speed dial, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Contacts.
  2. Tap the Menu key.
  3. Tap More.
  4. Tap Speed dial.
  5. Tap the number you want to assign.
  6. Tap the contact you want to assign to the speed dial number. (2-9)

 

 

Copy contact: import / export from SD card

 

To copy contacts between the device memory and SD card, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Contacts.
  2. Tap the Menu  key.
  3. Tap Import/Export.
  4. Tap Export to SD.
  5. Tap Ok to confirm.

 

 

Copy contact: import / export from SIM card

 

To copy contacts between the device memory and SIM card, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Contacts.
  2. Tap the Menu  key.
  3. Tap Import/Export.
  4. Tap Import from SD.
  5. Tap one of the following options to export the contacts.
    • Phone
    • T-Mobile Contacts
    • Any accounts you may have synced with the phone (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.)
  6. Tap Ok to confirm

 

 

Delete contact

 

To delete contacts from the phone book, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Contacts.
  2. Tap Menu.
  3. Tap Delete.
  4. Tap the individual contact you want to delete.
  5. Tap Delete.
