Learn how to delete and save SMS and MMS messages on the Samsung Galaxy S II.

 

 

 

 

Add SMS service center number

 

To add or change the SMS service center number, follow these steps:

 

Note: We're sorry, but you cannot change the service center number. Follow the below steps to view the current number.

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messaging.
  2. Tap the Menu key.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. View Message center.

 

 

Delete picture messages (MMS)

 

To delete picture messages (MMS), follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messaging.
  2. Choose one of the following options:

To delete an entire conversation thread

    1. Touch and hold on the conversation thread containing the message you want to delete.
    2. Tap Delete thread and then tap OK.

To delete an individual MMS message

    1. Tap the conversation thread containing the message you want to delete.
    2. Touch and hold on the MMS message you want to delete.
    3. Tap Delete message.
    4. Tap OK.

     

     

    Delete text messages (SMS)

     

    To delete text messages (SMS), follow these steps:

     

    1. From any Home screen, tap Messaging.
    2. Choose one of the following options:

    To delete an entire conversation thread

      1. Touch and hold on the conversation thread containing the SMS message you want to delete.
      2. Tap Delete thread and then tap OK.

    To delete an individual SMS message

      1. Tap the conversation thread containing the message you want to delete.
      2. Touch and hold on the SMS message you want to delete.
      3. Tap Delete message.
      4. Tap OK.

     

     

    Save pictures received in a message (MMS)

     

    To save a picture you received as a picture message (MMS), follow these steps:

     

    1. From any Home screen, tap Messaging.
    2. Touch and hold on the picture you want to save.
    3. Tap Attached items.
    4. Place a check in the file name.
    5. Tap Save.
    6. Watch for a pop up window. File is saved to where the window says.
