Battery saving mode

 

To turn on, turn off, or use battery life saving features on the device, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Power saving.
  4. If necessary, enable Powering saving by tapping the switch.

 

 

Battery saving mode settings

 

To change settings for the battery life saving feature, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Power saving.
  4. If necessary, enable Powering saving by tapping the switch.
  5. Tap the following options to turn on or turn off the option:
    • CPU power saving
    • Screen power saving
    • Turn off haptic feedback

 

 

Tips to save battery life

 

To save and extend battery life, follow these steps:

 

Lower screen brightness and timeout duration

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Display.
  4. Tap Screen timeout.
  5. Tap to set a duration of 1 minute or less.
    • Tap Brightness.
    • Tap to select or clear the Automatic brightness adjustment check box to enable or disable.
      • When disabled you can touch and drag the Brightness slider left or right to adjust brightness.
    • Tap OK.

     

    Turn off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot

    1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Tap the desired service to access the settings and disable.
      Note: You may need to tap More Settings to see all available options.

     

    Toggle from 4G to 2G

    1. From the home screen, tap the Menu key.
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Tap More settings.
    4. Tap Mobile networks.
    5. Tap Network Mode.
    6. Tap to select one of thefollowing:
      • GSM/WCDMA (Auto mode)
      • GSM Only
      • WCDMA only

     

    Update to the latest software

     

    Set device to sleep when unused

    Press and then quickly release the Power key to set the screen to sleep mode.
