There may be several reasons:

I am still getting e-mail/IM messages on my data device, why?

On most phones IM and e-mail are sent, received, and charged as text messages; however, on data devices, including, Windows Mobile, BlackBerry® and Sidekick, IM and e-mail are sent, received, and charged as part of your data plan and cannot be blocked.

You have the Sidekick Unlimited plan. This plan allows unlimited text and picture messages per month. Because these messages are not sent, received, or charged as text messages, these messages cannot be blocked on the Sidekick.
NOTE: The Messaging Blocking feature is available for customers who may have a Sidekick device but are not on a Sidekick data plan.
