Every time I try to set up an email address, I get an error connecting to the server. I'm very disappointed with this phone so far, and the difficulty I've encountered getting support. Do people from T-Mobile review these comments?
I am having the same problem as we speak with the balckberry 9780. This may be a problem with T-Mobile.
What sort of error do you get? Does it just say " Error connecting to the server?"
What phone were you using before your BlackBerry? If you had a non-blackberry phone, you would need to change your data plan over to a BlackBerry plan before you can use your email.
Almost everyone who has a BlackBerry on T-Mobile right now is having this issue, but T-Mobile stands by the thought that nothing is wrong on their end. You should have heard the discussion I just had with support about this.
I've got a bold 9900 and this problem started for me on Friday and is still happening. I hope tmo fixes it soon.
It looks like a lot of people are having the same issue. I see a couple other threads on the boards about this. Supposedly it is a Blackberry issue, and T-Mobile can't do anything about it. That is weak.
The issue has now been resolved. Try setting up your emails again!
Yes! This is working for me now. While I wish the T-Mobile customer support people would have been more knowledgeable on this (even if the issue wasn't on their end), I'm grateful that it is working again.
I tried to set up email to my domain and it says it can't be done, that I have to use a web connect, using tmo.blackberry.com. I input the URL exactly like it shows on the Blackberry Bold 9900 and no go...the site gives me a 500 error.
I am only into my first week and planning to send this system back to T-Mobile soon. One would think Blackberries would work SOOooo much better for as long as they have been around. It looks like this is a brand new product with all the problems that they have.
No...the issue has NOT been corrected.
