I just looked at that list for EVERY place in the World and only 2
phones list Nokia Black NOT AVAILABLE in over 120 countries.
# 1 USA T MOBILE Lumia 810 NOT AVAILABLE
# 2 China CMCC Lumia 720T NOT AVAILABLE
T MOBILE DOESN'T TELL THE TRUTH, THEY SAY THEY WILL MAKE AVAILABLE
SOFTWARE UPDATES AS THEY ARE AVAILABLE - WE AREN'T TALKING ABOUT A 3 YEAR OLD
PHONE, IT'S JUST UNDER 15 MONTHS OLD AND T MOBILE -THE "UNCARRIER" IS ACTING AS THEY
ARE THE 'WE DON'T CARE -IER"
I am really just hoping that they are running late on this. Tomorrow will mark exactly one year since I bought my 810 and I still prefer it to even the 925 (and definitely the 521). In the end, I am sold on the phone and NOT the carrier. It is very frustrating for me as well. Also, why are the updates treated like national security. It drives me crazy when I call support and it appears that I know more about the situation than they do - and perhaps even worse when they pipe in on these discussion forums and provide some predrafted response to a question that only serves to frustrate us more. If they discontinue support I will definitely be looking at other carriers who offer better support for a better selection of phones (the 925 really didn't offer anything of value that I didn't already have - and it appears that the only thing the 521 has above the 810 is that it is still supported). DON'T LET US DOWN T-MOBILE!!!
Fresh from Twitter@TMobileHelp
"We need to quality test each release to ensure it's compatible with our own software overlay before releasing an update. ^AC"
Ignoring that it says "NOT AVAILABLE" on Nokia's roll out page, which with AMBER it said "waiting for approval"
Not available means T Mobile has decided it's not going to be distributed, When the same Nokia roll out page
listed the same type of information about Amber and T Mobile, it said "waiting for approval" then "approved"
NOT AVAILABLE means we 810 owners are SOL.
I called TMobile and they said they would not be aware of the update until the day it actually happened. I love my 810. But maybe I will switch to the dark side and get $425 per line. The customer service at TMobile is amazing. But the dark ones tried buying out ATT and failed and Tmobile is now flush with billions of dollars with no plans to invest it in the US market. Plus the Pinheads are trying to buy Tmobile. IDK I think some levels of people need to start thinking like a consumer again, the thing which made them great.
