    My phones screen is Blacking out...

      So I got the Samsung Galaxy Smart phone and about a month after having it my screen went black..I cant see anything so I basically couldnt use my phone. I took it in to T-moblie and they sent me another one like 3 or 4 weeks ago and my phone blacked out again so im stuck with no phone again. Anyone know why its doing that? And would T-mobile give m my money back or let me get a different phone? Because its kind of pathetic that I have to keep replacing my phone every month!

          The same thing happened to my phone. I called to get a a new phone(not the Gravity ) three days after I received it and was told I could only get a replacement. I'm on my 3rd replacement in a month and all 3 phones black out when I utilize it too much What's the point of having a smart phone if you have to limit use. I also have to take the battery out to get it to power off. It will not power off with me just pressing the power button. I called tmobile again and asked for a new phone and was told I was outside of the buyers remorse period so I could only get another replacement. I was also told the original rep should have and could have issued a new phone according to the policy. I spoke to a manager who is working on getting me another phone( not the Gravity) and if she can't do it they will let me out of the contract I have and activate service in the retail store. This is the WORST phone I've ever had. Everyone that is having this issue needs to call Tmobile so they can take this **** off the market.

            Do you have a proximity sensor?  If covered by your face during a call, screen protector or a cell phone case or skin covering it, then it will black out.  If covered, then uncover it. To test, walk out into sunlight and see what happens.

              yeah, i agree w/crymims response. i had a cliq pohone and screen malfunctioned, so since they are not made anymoreI was given a option of gravity smart or a basic phone that is not even a smartphone. I am on number two of these phones in a 5-6 week period. i was told that poss battery is issue so they are sending me another one. I am so disgusted with tmobile service and there ability to rectify a situation. i am tired of paying high dollars for a service and getting nothing in return. Here is my list of issues I have had since they switch me to this phone, internal part for screen came out with the slide screen, Blackout of screen, 16 GB SD card and items will not save to card only phone. nothing but one app on phone and message states no memory, t mobile tried to charge me an ins ded for an internal failure where screen became disconnected to screen, i have to pay shipping charges on a battery that their sending me for failing blackout issues, and they don't seem to care it is an inconvenience at all. i know my contract ends first of year if this continues I might as well switch to an inclusive cheaper package with some of these smaller co.'s. that way when i get this kind of service and non assist it will at least make sense of getting what i pay for.

                I have the Samsung Smart too! I started yelling at the lady and this is the second one they are sending me. I yelled at the lady and was like, you know i still have to pay like $20 just to get that new phone still and i'm getting pretty sick of being without a phone, especially when i really need it. I'm 14 and i have to walk home from school everyday by myself. It takes me 30 minutes to get home from school. I think i need a phone incase an emergency happens. My mom is really mad about it too. I told them that if it messes up again then they better send me a phone of theirs of my choice for no cost. My mom got all mad and wanted to sue them for not getting a different phone. And my friend had one of the My Touch and the same thing happened to her. She switched phone companies because they wouldn't get her a new phone. It makes me so mad though you know? And the customer service SUCKS! I called and was trying to get ahold of someone and i was on hold for about an hour it made me SO mad.
