I bought the phone yesterday, arrived home and connected my wifi network. Everything is up and running, except for the wifi calling that is giving error ER05 "invalid SIM".
i reviewed online and followed the steps to have wifi calling for the LG G2. These steps were indicated in the following URL: Wi-Fi calling: LG G2 | T-Mobile Support .However, I still have the same problem as before.
Can anyone indicate what the issue could be or what I am missing.
I am able to do the following without issues:
We are sorry to hear about the Wi-Fi calling issue you are experiencing! Thank you for providing us with the link, and description of troubleshooting that has already occurred.
To verify, may we ask, when you connect to Wi-Fi, and the "invalid SIM" message appears, are you able to use the device at all? Also, if you put this same SIM card into your previous T-Mobile device (or any other T-Mobile device other than the LG G2), does the same "invalid SIM" appear when connecting to Wi-Fi?
Thank you and we look forward to your reply.
Mine does this as well. When I switched phones it was fine until I went into a store to get an ISIS enabled sim card so that I could use ISIS. Everything is fine with the new sim card except that I can't use wifi calling, which is a big reason that I use T-mobile and not Verizon, where I would get a hefty discount due to deals with my employer. If there's any way to fix this either with a patch or some other method, it would be great.
Have you tested the SIM card in another device?
Problem resolved with factory reset.
