Whether the iphone 5s with A1533(CDMA) model can used with T-mobile ?
You can check the compatibility of your phone with our network here: T-Mobile USA: Understanding network compatibility of an unlocked iPhone 5!
You should check if the phone is SIM locked to a particular vendor, such as Verizon. The GSM model is sold as the T-Mobile compatible phone (either locked to T-Mobile or unlocked).
The document Vanessa referenced is for the iPhone 5, not the 5c or 5s.
The short answer is no. T-mobiles network is a GSM network, which not compatible with the CDMA network. The document referenced by Vanessa does provide the specific frequencies T-mobile uses, and states the network is a GSM network.
Any iphone 5s could be used with tmo. The only thing u need to be sure its to get it unlock... just go to ebay and look for a unlock code. Iphone 5s GSM and iphobe 5s CDMA are almost the same... the only difference its that the GSM version doesn't have CDMA compatibility.
In the Apple Support Community they say: The GSM side of the Verizon iPhone is unlocked.
thank you very much.
yes, I just need referenced for iphone 5s, thank you.
yeah, that means the CDMA version can have GSM compatibility, right?
I stand corrected, yes the A1533 (CDMA) is GSM unlocked and the frequencies are T-mobile compatible. As proof I offer the following link to an article on this subject.
I don't think it'll work on LTE networks. Even their own picture shows 4G and not LTE. It'll work on HSPA+ like the 5, but the LTE hasn't been tested.
I can't state absolutely it will work on T-mobiles LTE, I can state the A1533 (CDMA) uses the same channels for LTE as the A1533 (GSM) model either T-mobile or Apple would sell you for the T-mobile network. So if LTE from T-mobile works on the iPhone 5S, there is no reason technically it would not work on both models.
Not always the case. Case in point the 5. The CDMA version supports HSPA+ on 1900, but not 1700/2100. The guy did not test LTE and only assumes it'll work.
Anyway I did the legwork that these fan sites and writers should have done. It's so easy to get confirmation...
All the spectrums that the 5S supports by model.
So to answer the question
As long as it's not for the china market they all support the same spectrum.
I guess I missed where I said always.
