I planning to get NOKIA LUMIA 1020 Unloked with following specifications. Will it work with T-Mobile LTE Network ? What frequency and Band is supported by T-Mobile LTE ?
Up to 13 h 20 min
The nukia lumia 925 is the tmobile phone it came out today
The 925 will work much better on tmobile
4 g and 4 g lte
If you live in an LTE area and don't travel much then 1900 with be 4G.
What is ridiculous ?? I am curious and investigating my options...Thanks for your info on 925 though.
@tidbits What about LTE ?
It will work. Was pointing to to riz that it'll work for both if you have LTE as to get LTE in the first place the network has to be refarmed so you don't need 1700/2100 for HSPA+ only 1900.
So if I live in NYC which just got 4G LTE coverage, the unlocked ATT 1020 will work on the 4G LTE band and will get Edge coverage?
Sorry if I'm being obtuse, I just want to make sure before dropping $700.
tidbits 1900 is only listed for 2 and 3 g is not in lte band
So will it work for lte?
HSDPA = 4G HSPA+(this is broken down as HSDPA/HSUPA)
under LTE it has 700/1700/2100
Anyone know if NYC has been "refarmed"? I thought they added 4G LTE this month, does that mean it was refarmed on the 3G band?
my exact question as well. I want to use this phone on Tmobile in NYC.
If the area you are in has LTE then it is refarmed. You can't have 2 different networks on the same spectrum.
ok ... so to be clear... an unlocked AT&T Nokia 1020 will have the same mobile data performance as say the new T-Mobile Nokia 925 in NYC?
If you are in a LTE area in NYC then yes.
Not sure if it has been posted or not, but YES the At&t version of the phone unlocked works well on the LTE Bands of T-Mo
it is a hit or miss for some people. They have purchased the Lumia 1020 from Microsoft at full price and asked for the unlock code from At&t, and they have been successful. Some people have told a fib and said they are traveling overseas and need the unlock code, and have been successful. I still have my Lumia 920 that I use on a T-Mo Provider service, and its cheap, unlimited and works great! If you want the att version, go and get it, and you will be fine, if you already have a t mo phone, or one of there secondary subsidiaries.
A blog about the Nokia 1020, unlocked version, with an update about how it can be used on T-Mo....
