Today I decided to switch from Cricket to T - Mobile. At the store the worker assured me my Cricket S3 can be unlocked to work on the T - Mobile network. That's seeming to be less and less true. Is this at ALL possible? I know you need a code..so on, however, it seems entirely false. That Cricket S3 cannot be used with T Mobile.
Does the cricket phone have a sim card
Yes. When you move the T-Mobile SIM card into the S3. It cannot find the SIM card.
No like ubwere told cricket has to unlock the phone first
1) PLUG IN THE FOREIGN SIM CARD FIRST
2) BOOT up the phone with the different sim card, then it will ask for unlock code. CLICK DISMISS
ust dial the following keys *#197328640#
Main Menu > UMTS > Debug Screen > Phone Control > Network Lock > Options Perso SHA256 OFF > (after choosing this option, wait about 30 seconds, then go back one step by pressing the Menu button then select Back, now you are in Network Lock then choose NW Lock NV Data INITIALLIZ ..... wait for a minute then reboot your phone
4) be sure to WAIT AT LEAST EXACTLY where it says wait 30 sec, and wait 1min then reboot
tell me if it works oh i forgot to mention your phone will only work in the refarmed areas only
No. That does not bring up anything. I think its because I'm on 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. That was only valid for 4.1.1? But entering that number does nothing.
you have to root it and do a whole bunch of stuff to it sell it and get a tmobile one
Why root it? They're entirely different things.
pay to unlock it then cellunlocker, or something
Cricket is not on there lol
Partly solved. You must use *#22745927 to unhide hidden menus. Then the method mentioned before. However, I see nothing under network.
after you dail the number *#22745927 try the method a put up earlier
