I have a verizon iPhone 5 and when I put in my tmobile sim it says no service. Please help me!!!!
While I am no expert I think you need to go to a store or call customer service to configure your phone to the tmobile network. I talked to a Cs and they said you could use a Verizon iPhone on the tmobile network
Which customer service should I call? eladiha
If you are trying to get tmobile service I would call tmobile at 1-877-453-1304. I'm guessing you already have a service plan with tmobile So I would say activate a phone when the system asks what you are calling about.
Oh okay, but I'd tried it with a tmobile pre paid and it worked and after two days it said no service even when I refilled more minuets and data, you think it would make a difference if I call customer service? eladiha
Oh didn't realize it worked for a little bit. Yes, I would call them or better yet maybe tech support I couldn't find a separate number for them though
If you find any info please let me know please!!!!! eladiha
Since the Verizon iPhone 5 is factory unlocked right out of the box all you should have to do is put your sim card inside and it will work. I used to do this all the time when I had a Verizon iPhone. If it's showing 'no service' then check your account and make sure the sim card you are using is activated or trying power cycling the iPhone a couple of times.
What do you mean by power cycling? And I tried to use a pre paid and it was working at first then it stopped. Out of no where.
Power cycle - power the phone off and on a few times. Also try switching airplane mode on and off and then waiting 2-3 minutes.
Oh okay thanks, anything else I should do???? zeusavi
If you still can't get it to work after trying those you might just need a new sim card. The longest I've seen a Verizon iPhone take to read a T-Mobile sim card was about 5 minutes so it shouldn't take any longer than that at the most.
Did you change your phone number, or port in your phone number from your old carrier? This happened to me when I activated on Tmobile prepaid at first, the rep on the phone couldn't figure it out and then I went to a store and they gave me a new SIM card right away - had service within 5 minutes.
I would just go to a store if you can and see if they can hook you up with a new SIM. If it says no service all together, chances are it's not just a setting on your phone.
