When i press delete, nothing happens.
Yep. I'm having the same problem as well. I talked to T-Mobile support yesterday and they didn't have any help. It went something like
"We didnt' know it was released yet. updates have bugs and you got the pre-repease version. THey have this genius bar that might be able to help you get this update taken way"
anyway...Yes..it sucks. I did find out that you can delete them via calling into 123 on your phone and deleting them from their. They dissapear from the inbox after you do that, but attempts to remove clear the trash folder crashes the phone app. I'll complain more if my new Iphone5 does that
Edit: I'm on a 3gs phone
I'm having the same problem on iPhone 4. Everything seems to work fine in VVM except for the delete function. I've spent over three hours on the phone with tech support without any luck. They'd better get VVM figured out before Friday or they're going to have a whole lot of unhappy new iPhone users on their hands.
okay did you slide your finger across the actual message that you are trying to delete.
you should see a DELETED MESSAGES at the bottom of your voicemail app
I did try it and nothing.
Funny thing, I called tmobile tech support and they told me that unlocked iphones are not (visual voicemail) supported. I told him about the carrier update but he had no idea what I was talking about.
Same here. I've called T-mobile support that quickly gave up and directed me to Apple Support which made me restore my phone. Shockingly, that didn't help. Then Apple Support told me to sit tight until next software update to resolve this as there is some "software glitch". I don't think so and not buying this since. Just two weeks ago VVM worked without a hitch on same iOS 6.1.3 with ATT. Now with T-Mobile it doesn't. This leads me to believe that issue is with permissions (users having read only permissions via VVM interface where read/write is necessary) and/or interface protocol in use on T-mobile side and not with carrier update or iOS version.
Same here Iphone 5 factory unlocked. Has to be a bug
Same here, iPhone 4s 6.1.3. Hopefully they get this fixed quickly, it is a very annoying bug. What I am curious about is how could they send out the carrier update and not catch this bug?
*Leave me a Voicemail to make sure it is working. Ok. Now delete... Not deleted*
How couldn't they catch it?
Nevermind spoke too soon.... The message was deleted when I walked outside of work into the 4g zone I guess you cannot delete them when connected to wifi?
can someone try the following on their phone
it should respond with the phone number that you use for VM. Mine responds with : 12063130004
It would be helpful if someone whose VM does delete would do this as well.
It's possible that we need to program our voice mail to a different place. and the code below would do that if we know what it is.
This was taken from http://www.ardorpes.com/2009/03/02/how-to-change-message-centre-number-on-apple-iphone/
Did it go in "deleted messages"? Now try "clear all" in deleted messsages. Does it crash?
I tried that and yes it does crash.
Having same issue on new iphone 5 as well.. gotta be account releated or software bug on t-mo side.
Hey guys I just wanna let everyone know they have fixed the crash and delete error! 100% working on my 4s now. Finally a phone that we can finally tap into it's power hah
Yeah, I can now delete them but voicemails are from unknown caller.
