    2.3.4 SD Card Manual Update

So i recently was searching through XDA and came upon this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1210835

I had the leaked 2.3.3 gingerbread update installed and what do you know...

      • Seems to be a little faster
      • Very Stable
      • Boot up for my phone was 15 seconds!
      • Market automatically update to the newer one
      • No more vibration when holding the camera button
      • No more keyboard backlight problems

      • Lose apps when installing the update so properly take note of the ones you currently have installed.
      • None so far

      1. Download the update file from here https://rapidshare.com/files/3796067356/PC10IMG.zip
      2. Once downloaded, place it on the root of your SD card. DO NOT rename it or place it in a folder or subdirectory.
        1. Its name should be "PC10IMG" with .zip being the extension.
      3. Back up any data that is on your phone. Sms, Contacts, etc. Take note of the apps you currently have installed, they will be deleted.
      4. Turn off your phone and boot into bootloader. (Press and Hold the power button and volume down at the same time).
      5. Once the bootloader is up you should see the "PC10IMG" being scanned.
      6. Wait for the phone to finish scannig the file. If done correctly the phone will ask if you want to update.
      7. press volume up and the update should begin.
      8. Give it a few minutes and make sure you don't have a low battery. Shutting the phone down during an update process can potentially brick it.

so having it being charged during the update process wouldn't hurt

      1. Once the update has been successfully installed, the phone will ask to press the power button to reboot.
      2. The phone should reboot and you have a freshly baked 2.3.4 Gingerbread update!

Hopefully this works for everyone who had the leaked 2.3.3 update and everyone who is still on 2.2. Froyo

Credit to atlp99 for getting the SD Card update!
