So i recently was searching through XDA and came upon this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1210835
I had the leaked 2.3.3 gingerbread update installed and what do you know...
THE UPDATE WORKS!!!!
so having it being charged during the update process wouldn't hurt
Hopefully this works for everyone who had the leaked 2.3.3 update and everyone who is still on 2.2. Froyo
Credit to atlp99 for getting the SD Card update!
There is already a thread with the 2.3.4 update file.
This is for everyone that has the leaked 2.3.3 version. I'm not sure if the other one can be installed into phones with the leak in them...
Planet_scott : I may be wrong, but I think this is specifically for those who installed the leaked 2.3.3 version, for which it was determined the OTA/manual upgrade of 2.3.4 was not working. I am in this position, with 2.3.3 currently installed, so am tempted to give this a go.
True do this at your own risk... My phone updated just fine, as it did when I installed the leaked update. Right now i am having no problems with it, everything is stable and working correctly!
Nothing happens when I click download from rapidshare. Any clue?
I am downloading it now. The reason this one works is that its basically the whole OS. The OTA is an update to 2.2, which explains the file size difference as well.
The experience of installing this version will be the same as the leaked, as the leaked was also the whole OS.
It can be likened to the difference between formatting your hard disk to upgrade from Vista to Win7 (clean install) and performing the upgrade without the formating (OTA).
The download worked for me.
Tried that and it asked for Free Download or Activate Rapid Pro. chose Frre Download and nothing happens.
In the middle of the screen you do not get the
And a big green download button underneath?
I looked at the link again and it worked... Not sure why you're getting that error
Must be my browser. Downloading chrome.
That was it.
