Just picked up an 8X yesterday and have NOT been successful in sending any MMS messages to any phones (Windows 8 phone, Android or iPhone). All I receive back is, CANNOT SEND, please try again. Tried sending several pictures both from cameras and the default pics in the phone. However, I am able to receive MMS messages just fine from any phones. Anyone have any ideas???
Neither am I! It is annoying!
MMS is automatically configured. Can you try to send an mms to your own phone number?

Please see Picture Message (MMS) troubleshooting: Windows Mobile let's see if we can resolve the MMS issue.
I can send a picture to myself. I had my friend try to send me one and I did not receive it nor did they receive mine. Do you have to have Wifi connection to send a picture?
What is the sms center number under settings?
I've gone through all of the documentations that's published on T-Mobile's support forums. Everything looks fine as far as all the settings. The weirdness of this problem seems to be somewhat random. Yesterday, I was able to finally send a couple of MMS messages to a couple of friends that was not working the night before. However, last night, it stopped working again and I've made no changes.
This is INFURIATING! The page referenced in post #3 (http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-4226) says to check internet connectivity. Sure enough, I can't get to the internet using Mobile Web. The article then says to "see Mobile Web Troubleshooting" but no such topic exists. Even searching the entire site for "Mobile Web" just turns up two additional references to the same non-existent topic!
Please get your act together regarding support for the HTC 8X or don't sell the phone in the first place!!
Apparently, I need internet and MMS "APN" information but I also can't find any reference to that one the support site either.
Under "Settings-->Cellular" I have the following settings:
I assume the APN information for the two buttons needs to be filled out but I don't know what information belongs in each field.
Mine says the same thing. My question is why do you need wifi to send a pic? What stinks is I wanted to return the phone but since I ordered it at TMobile.com, I was told I would have to wait one month for a new phone. Unreal!
Wi-Fi doesn't have to be on for this to work. Is the internet on the device working, you will need to have a data plan for the mms to work.
the APN should auto configure so need to add another APN setting.
The sms senter number is +12063130004

Ok I've finally gotten MMS to work on my unlocked HTC 8x. Just as a heads up, the tmobile version doesn't have the MMS APN configuration as it's provided automatically.
However if you're using an unlocked HTC 8x here are the MMS APN settings that work:
User name: <leave empty>
Password: <leave empty>
WAP gateway (URL): http://22.214.171.124
Note: I tried the above with no "http://" and it did NOT work. Please ensure you use the full address shown.
WAP gateway port: 8080
MMSC (URL): http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
MMSC port: 80
Maximum MMS size: <leave empty>
IP Type: IPv4
After saved, POWER OFF PHONE AND RESTART PHONE.
I was able to send and recieve MMS after using the above settings and steps.

I just bought the Verizon Limited Edition Employee Edition of the HTC 8x (unlocked i assume) and am using a TMobile SIM. I can make and recieve calls just fine but several, seemingly random (one on Sprint, Verizon, and TMobile), friends are not receiving my texts and I cannot send picture messages at all. I have verified the OS version and the Firmware Revision number with both TMobile and HTC support. As was quoted above about the TMobile version not having the MMS APN configuration, neither does this phone. I cannot find the option to add MMS APN or edit MMS APN. I have looked in the appropiate place under Settings --> Cellular, and at the bottom of the screen. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks.
Had this same problem. What worked for me was to go into settings, then to applications, then to messaging, and then make sure all the following options are turned OFF: SMS delivery confirmation, MMS delivery confirmation, Send MMS acknowlegement. Worked for me once I wasn't using those anymore. Thanks.
The problem is not with the phone or T-Mobile. The default for the Photo settings in the resolution is 6m which is to big to send. I think the max is 1m. To change the settings go to the camera click on the 3 dots bottom right click on photo settings and chose vga save and close.
