A few months ago I made an update on my t-mobile htc sensation that caused the failure of the wifi and bluetooth.
attempting to access wifi causes the error message. the same for the bluetooth.I tried to run the factory reset, but the problem has not been resolved. how can I solve my problem? last update 4.0.3.
Write down the complete error message that comes up with bluetooth and wifi & post them here.
android version 4.0.3
version htc sense 3.6,
software number 220.127.116.11.
when I make an access to wifi, after some waiting, the message that appears is "ERROR".
when I do the same thing with the bluetooth ..
that was after an t-mobile update.
What can I do to restore normal function?
Hmm. That's not much to go on. Sounds like something you're going to have to take to T-Mobile (by phone or in-store, not online) or HTC.
See if you can find the factory ruu. If you can then run it. Keep in mind it will also delete all data. It may be a bad flash of the kernel that is causing the problem and a factory ruu install may fix the problem.
A factory RUU be run on an un-rooted/locked phone? Didn't know that, though I've never had an Android device that I didn't unlock & root.....
You can get both the proper RUU and support over at the XDA Developer forums. This thread should help you on your way. Look for "RUU_Pyramid_ICS_TMOUS" when you're downloading ('Pyramid' is the HTC internal name for the Sensation, 'ICS' is the Ice Cream Sandwich version of Android and 'TMOUS' refers to T-Mobile in the United States)
A ruu is just the factory signed image and will install and doesn't matter if rooted or not as long as your device is not bricked
dear master, can u help me PLEASE
i v a issue with bluetooth too,for last 10 days when i am turning bluetooth on, the phone instantly reboots n after that bluetooth shows its kept turning on (but CAN'T turn on).
is it a bluetooth hardware failure issue? PLEASE HELP ME MASTER
Little bit of a old post to bring up for problems.
You can create a new post if the only one you find is that old.
But if the problem don't go away after a simple reboot is may either be something stuck in the software or a hardware problem.
You would next want to back your information and master reset the phone. Test it again without signing in to anything or installing any programs.
If the problem has gone away then is a software issue and will be fine.
If not then is something wrong with the phone and you will need to have the phone serviced.
Thanks a lot dear, actually I thought I would made a new post but couldn't do that and sorry for that.and though its in a old post u replied and I m really happy.
I will back up my contacts and will do a reset ( by pressing power+volume down, right master?) Ans if I m done I will let u know.thanks again for the quick reply. :-)
