I was able to download it yesterday morning from the Windows Marketplace for my T-Mobile Lumia 710, but later in the evening it said it was unavailable for my wife's T-Mobile Lumia 710.
Today when I checked for Words with Friends in the Marketplace on my phone(that already has it installed) it says: "This app is not available for your device. Tap here for more info."
So... what's up with that?
I don't even see it available in the market. I wonder if it was released prematurely and then pulled it. They might be waiting for the release of the windows 8 phones.
Thanks for posting
Here's the link I was able to get it from:http://windowsphone.com/s?appid=650793d9-e790-479a-aefb-d1919175dbf3
and the unofficial new story from a blog:
I hope Tmo shows the WP7 owners some love and makes this available again.
I read the articles but haven't got any confirmation from T-Mobile. Hopefully I will have something today.
Followed link and was told that I wasn't eligable due to wrong software version or wrong region. Guessing that we have to wait till someone decides we are worthy enough for an update or we have to have a win 8 phone. More than likely the download was accidentally posted before its time.
It was working again last night. I was able to download it onto my wife's T-Mobile Lumia 710.
You're right is it is working! I just installed on my HD7.
Thanks for the heads up, everyone. I've now downloaded it successfully to my Radar.
So far, Words With Friends on the Radar is pretty SLOW, and the chat interface doesn't work correctly. My friend (on an AT&T iPhone) gets my chat messages but I don't get his, although the screen says updating so the phone is receiving them just not displaying them.
I think I'll be sticking with Words By Post and AlphaJax which both work great.
