I took my SIM card out of my phone and when I put it back in all my contacts were gone. How do I get them back. I thought I saved them to the SIM card.
You can sign into your Tmobile account and go to mobile life then contacts and synchronize them to your sim.
But since this is an android phone aren't your contacts save in your gmail account?
Try signing back in through Google, and your contacts, gmail and Google calander should sync for you. You might try going into phone>settings>accounts & sync settings and choose your account and force it to sync manually.
I tried that and it didn't work. Any other ideas?
When you sign into your gmail account and look under your contacts on your pc--are they there?
I have lost all of my contacts as well...I have sync everything...and nothing.
lesson learned make sure to have a backup of your contact
question though. Is your contact still showing up when you login to gmail?
kathy have you tried to put the sim card back in the old phone and saved your contacts to it? you have a choice to save them to the phone or the sim card. i would try that.
I AM HAVING THE SAME THING HAPPEN RIGHT NOW I HAVE THEM BACKED UP ON THE TMOBILE SITE BUT CANT GET THEM ON MY PHONE HOW DO I DO THAT
In Contacts, hit the menu button, Display Options and check which accounts you are displaying. Is SIM is not selected they may stlll be on the SIM, just not displayed.
This actually worked with some of my contacts thanks.
I had many dropped calls and my text messages appeared hours after they were sent. I went to TMobile 4/25/12 and the guy changed my SIM card, something about them wearing out. He assured me that my contacts were synced and would show up (the same thing happened summer 2011). They were NOT THERE, only my call log showed numbers, no names.
I went back to TMobile today (4/28/12) and another guy synced FaceBook, Gmail, Yahoo and TMobile! My contacts are still not all there, only duplicates, triplicates and as many as 5 of the same contact. My family's numbers are missing. What is going on? This is so annoying and I use my phone for work and business (several hundred contacts, prescription numbers, emails, addresses). All they could say was sorry, I agree. I have to manually input numbers again, and I hope they are on the TMobile site. Ready to try OTHER carriers as this is so not acceptable.
BTW, I will be with them 3 years in October 2012 and my current phone is an LG Optimus. Did I forget to share that this phone was bought in November 2011, yet it is also my 13th handset! Contract or not, I am beyond upset and past ready to leave. I have no patience left.
