So my phone started getting glitches after the OTA update and I called T-Mobile and they have sent me a replacement device, the only problem is that the phone I received has a hairline crack in it, what can I do about this?
Coming to the forum for fixes is always advised before going to the warranty process. You're "glitches" could have been resolved with a factory reset and or a restore and reinstall. However if you haven't sent the Glitching one back cancel the cracked one and explain to them the situation.
Everything has been settled I did all of the troubleshooting with them and nothing worked now that I got this broken one it does work should I send them back the cracked one? and tell them before because they get me in so many messes ints unbelieveable
Sorry you're finding out this way but most of the people on this forum are more tecnically capable than technical support.
so what would you advice?
Call them and let them know of the crack first. Then I'd see if there is a T-Mobile store near you and see if they would be willing to let you do a 1 to 1 swap for a new S3 so it really doesn't effect their inventory. Inform them of all the events up to this point. Show them the receipt and all your information so they'll know you didn't drop it and crack it. Make sure you get the manager of the store's approval and then contact customer care and let them know they are willing to swap if they have their (Customer Care's) approval.
A Wal-Mart or other retailer may be willing to assist you if you're nice about the situation.
